My name is Anthony and I offer face-to-face, secure online and telephone counselling in Cardiff.
I work integratively which I can explain when we meet. Each session lasts an hour and preferably we will meet at the same time weekly. How long therapy lasts is different for everyone and expectations can be discussed at our first session.
The heart of our work together will be a therapeutic relationship made up of warm acceptance, confidentiality and non-judgement. We will explore whatever matters most to you and seek to make sense of it in ways that will hopefully be beneficial.
Anything can be brought to counselling, however I have a special interest in childhood neglect, boarding-school, faith-based concerns, pregnancy loss, psychosis, hearing voices and loneliness as well as anxiety, depression and grief.
A little about me
Before being a counsellor I was a Copy, Design and Print Production Manager. In 2011, I began volunteering with Samaritans and later at MIND which culminated in me becoming a qualified counsellor. I then became Lead Counsellor for the Newport Community Counselling Service (NCCS) and later Lead Counsellor at the South Wales Counselling & Psychotherapy service (SWCAP) before setting up Wingfield Counselling.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (BACP) and abide by their Ethical Framework which can be found at www.bacp.co.uk
I'm based on East Bute Dock in Atlantic Wharf and close to the Novotel on Schooner Way. Directions will be given once we've found a mutually agreeable time and date. There is free parking and it's less than a mile to Cardiff Central train station.
£50 for face-to-face, online and telephone counselling. Payable by cash, cheque or online.
